Letting Others in on Strategy Development

Just posted an article about strategic planning and execution over at Practical Ecommerce and I thought I mention it here so that you can check it out.

The gist of it is – don’t keep your front line employees in the dark. They’re the ones that work with customers day in and day out, representing your company. Don’t make them feel like they are the last to know what’s going on and expected to carry out the marching orders from the top (with a smile).

I go into it a little more on the article. I hope you will have a chance to read it and, by all means, leave a comment there, leave a comment here, and more importantly, I hope it induces you to think about how you develop and execute on your company’s strategic planning.
